You know what I would like?

People around me who are sober at least 80% of the time.

Is that too much to ask? I don’t think so. I’m bored! You aren’t stimulating me! So I choose to stay home and read instead of being around this crap. I don’t care how much you say I should just loosen up. I don’t need to! If I’m not interested, there’s no reason to chastise me. It’s my choice how close I’d like to keep our friendship, just as much as it is your choice.

I grew up with a functioning addict. While they still kept their life together, I still couldn’t have a stimulating conversation with them most of the time cuz their head was in the clouds. Do you think a sober person wants to be around that? No. I only contact you when I want to party, and that’s sad. Same goes for most of the people in your life.

This is to quite a few of my friends right now. Grow up already or you’ll end up left behind. I can’t even say I still think you’re cool because I don’t know you anymore.
